Privacy Policy

To relay messages across servers, the Bot processes:

• Message content sent in channels configured as broadcast channels, so it can be forwarded to other participating servers.
• User identifiers such as your Discord username, display name, and user ID, and your avatar, shown alongside relayed messages so recipients know who sent them.
• Server and channel data such as server (guild) IDs and the channel IDs an administrator configures for broadcasting and receiving.

The Bot only processes messages in channels that an administrator has explicitly configured. It does not read messages in other channels.

We use the information described above solely to:

• Deliver messages between participating servers in real time.
• Display the sender's name and avatar with each relayed message.
• Maintain server configuration (which channels send and receive).
• Operate, secure, and improve the service, including preventing abuse and spam.

We store server configuration data (such as guild IDs and configured channel IDs) for as long as the Bot is installed in your server so the service can function. Message content is processed to relay it across the network and is not retained longer than necessary to provide the service. If the Bot is removed from a server, its associated configuration is deleted.

The core function of Global Chat is to share messages between servers. When you send a message in a broadcast channel, that message's content along with your username and avatar is shared with other servers that participate in the network. Do not send private or sensitive information through broadcast channels.

We do not sell your data. We do not share information with third parties except as needed to operate the service (for example, hosting infrastructure) or where required by law.

Global Chat operates on Discord and relies on the Discord platform and API. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's own Privacy Policy.

Global Chat is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required to use Discord in your country. We do not knowingly collect information from children below that age.

You can stop the Bot from processing your messages by not sending messages in configured broadcast channels. Server administrators can reconfigure or remove the Bot at any time, which stops further processing and removes stored configuration for that server.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
